Iskele Mosque
An attractive mosque of the late 19th century, the
Iskele Mosque is constructed of cut stone and set on four pillars
over a natural spring.
Karatay Medrese
The entrance door and niche are fine examples of the
Seljuk art of carving. It was built in 1250 by Emir Celaleddin
Karatay and advantage was taken of the Romans walls when building
it.
Kesik Minaret Mosque
This mosque attests to the city's long history in
its succession of Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman
renovations.
Murat Pasa Mosque
One of the two most important Ottoman mosques in the
city, the Murat Pasa Mosque was built in the 16th century. The
mosque features remarkable tile decoration.
Tekeli Mehmet Pasa Mosque
Also an important Ottoman mosque, the Tekeli Mehmet
Pasa Mosque was built in the 18th century.
Yivli Minareli Mosque
The elegant, fluted minaret of the Yivli Minareli
Mosque in the center of the city has become Antalya's symbol. The
mosque was built by the Seljuk sultan Alaeddin Keykubat in the
13th century.
